Max Leishman

I am a designer living and working in Melbourne Australia. I studied at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology attaining a double degree in Design Furniture & Bachelor of Industrial Design with Honours.

My studio directs a high focus on architectural lighting all works are hand assembled in my Melbourne studio, working with a diverse range of local and international manufacturers covering a vast amount materials and processes.

Becoming totally immersed in assembling aircraft model planes when I was younger, a medium used to escape and enter a space unbound by the reality of today. My practice sets out to bring those distant visions into the now pairing them to architectural forms, raw materials and light.

Resurrecting the past being inspired by the future, enabling others to engage and connect between product and user.
